ANNUAL FEES:

Every member inducted into the Club shall pay an annual fee, currently $180.00. This fee includes a subscription to the monthly magazine “Rotary Down Under” and covers administrative costs for Rotary International, District Levy, Insurance and club expenses.

MEAL COSTS:

Each member is responsible for the cost of his/her own meal and personal guests. (If a member invites a guest with the intent of introducing the guest to membership, the Club will pay for one visit). The current charge is $21 per meal. If a member is attending the meeting only and not partaking of the meal, an attendance charge of $3 only is levied.

ATTENDANCE:

The Club meets every Tuesday evening at North Ballarat Sports Club, Creswick Road at 6pm for a 6.15pm start. Meetings conclude at 7.30pm unless it is a special evening.

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

Retaining membership depends on attending not less than 50% of Club meetings in the Rotary year. Termination of membership can occur if a member fails to attend four consecutive dinner meetings without having requested leave.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE:

Upon written application to the Secretary of the Club setting out good and sufficient reasons, leave of absence may be granted, excusing a member from attendance for a specified period of time.

APOLOGIES:

If a member is unable to attend a regular meeting of the Club, an apology is expected by 12 noon Tuesday because of catering arrangements.

MAKE-UPS:

Any member absent from the Club may “make-up” such absence by attendance at any of the following - a regular meeting of another Rotary Club; our Rotaract Club if on roster; participating in a Club Service project or club sponsored community event; a Board meeting or service committee meeting (if approved by Board); such attendance needs to be within two weeks either side of date of absence. The make-up is then credited to the member’s attendance record. There are other ways you can gain credit for attendance that are not stated here – see Secretary for details.
